Richard Allen Consultants has grown into a very well established and dynamic consultancy practice offering the perfect balance of engineering skill, capability, diligence, knowledge and experience all within a fast, friendly, efficient, professional and highly competitive package.

We utilise the very latest industry standard software for HVAC design, Electrical design, Part L compliance and modelling along with server based networked computers, full remote access and high speed digital communications to maximise accuracy, efficiency and service.

Our operations are almost paperless with all drawings and documents prepared and managed using the latest software packages, from which we can export files to our design software and desktop packages. We do however retain full in-house digital printing and large format plotting capabilities where presentation, publication and distribution of paper documentation is necessary.

Our staff have full access and make regular reference to all relevant current industry BS codes, CIBSE & IEE guides, CDM & Environmental legislation, and statutory instruments, allowing us to remain abreast of current, new and emerging legislation and to provide expert advice on its application to our construction projects.

We have in place full management procedures to ensure the Health and Safety of our operations and staff and we are working towards accreditation under Quality Assurance ISO 9001 procedures.

It is our policy to employ only high calibre staff with excellent technical abilities and a good business ethic. We recognise the importance of training and we have a programme for the recruitment and education of home-grown young engineers. Existing staff are encouraged and supported in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and this support of education, training and CPD is further reinforced by Principal, Alan Murphy, and his many committee roles for CIBSE, South Birmingham College, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Constructing Excellence Club (HAWCE), WMCCE and SummitSkills.
